Vajrasattva T-shirts. These shirts are made in Thailand, and can be machine washed in cold water, but should be turned inside-out when washed. This shirt features images of Vajrasattva, who is regarded as the priest of the five Dhyani (transcendental) Buddhas in Nepal and Tibet. Vajrasattva is believed to represent balance in both physical and spiritual health. He holds a Vajra (Dorje in Tibetan) in his right hand, which is a symbol for the lightning bolt. This symbol represents action, considered a male principle. In his left hand he holds a bell, signifying widom, which is considered a female principle.
These symbols together represent the perfection of action and wisdom, the ingredients necessary for enlightenment. Vajrasattva is also often seen embracing his consort in the Yab Yum posture. Again, the conjunction of male and female shows the importance of balance in Tantric Buddhism.
Made in Thailand, cotton / poly blend
