Kuan Yin Statues Now On Sale: These are cast bronze statues of Kuan Yin (also known as Quan Yin and Kwan Yin), the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. Her name translates as The One Who Hears the Cries of the World, and she is the Chinese representation of the Boddhisattva Avalokiteswara (the Tibetan God of Compassion). We have THREE STYLES to choose from (scroll down to see them all) and they are now

Standing on a Dragon
13 x 5 x 4 Inches

Standing on a Lotus Blossom

The style in the large photo above is of Kuan Yin standing on a Turtle. The turtle is the symbol for long life in China and other places in Asia, so you will often see turtles kept in ponds at temples. The other two styles we have are of Kuan Yin standing on the back of a Dragon (a symbol for power, wisdom and righteousness throughout Asia) and Kuan Yin standing on a Lotus Blossom (a symbol of purity and compassion in Asia). It is believed that a Bodhisattva (or Boddhisatva, as it is sometimes spelled), was a human who has forsaken the final stage of enlightenment in order to help all earthly beings attain enlightenment first. This contemporary piece is given a slightly aged look, so it appears similar to an antique work.

We know you will be delighted with the detail of these statues, especially the craftsmanship that is apparent in the clothing and the face of Kuan Yin. These statues are 13 x 4 x 4 Inches
