Kuan Yin Statues : These are cast bronze statues of Kuan Yin (also known as Quan Yin and Kwan Yin), the Chinese Goddesses of Mercy and Compassion. Her name translates as The One Who Hears the Cries of the World, and she is the Chinese representation of the Boddhisattva Avalokiteswara (the Tibetan God of Compassion). In this particular statue she is sitting upon a lous blossom which is in turn supported by the backs of two dragons. The Lotus Blossom is a symbol for purity in asia, since despite growing muddy water, it remains beautiful and untouched by the filth around it. Dragons are the symbol for wisdom, courage and strength. This statue is 12 x 7 x 6 Inches
