On Sale Now! (Normally $55). This is a cast bronze rupa or statue of a standing Buddha, and is quite unusual. Normally, you will see statues of the Lord Buddha seated cross-legged on a lotus blossom. This image appears as if the figure is in standing meditation. The lotus pedastal is supported on the backs of three elephants, and the walking stick in the right hand is actually a Naga (or serpent that is a protector of the Dharma).
Please note that this statue has a more rough appearance than most of our outher statues. This is due to the fact that is a replica of an ancient original statue, which being an antique is quite weathered. Hence, to make these statues appear similar to the original, these reproductions have a rough appearance to them.
