Chopstick sets from Thailand, Exotic Thai Chopsticks. These chop sticks are made from Mango, Tamarind, Palm and other exotic woods. While exotic, they are ecologically friendly, since these woods are farmed in the south of Thailand, and none of them are produced from endangered trees. These Chop stick Sets include FOUR Pairs of Chopsticks, FOUR Wasabi Dishes, and FOUR Chopstick Rests (the photo above shows two sets of four so you get an idea of what the difference is between the light wood and the dark wood - the set you buy may vary slightly in colors).
They come in a decorated box made from Thai Saa Paper (Thai Mulberry), which is also eco-friendly. Each year when the tree is "harvested," they simply unwrap some of the outer layers of bark from the trunk of the tree to make the paper. The tree doesn't die from this; in fact, the bark grows back in time to be harvested again the following year. So it is a sustainable way of live for many Thai villagers.
