This is a statue of Lord Ganesha Dancing, and is 8 Inches Tall by 4 Inches Wide by 2 Inches Deep. Also known as Ganesh or Ganapati, He is the elephant headed God of Success, Opening Doors and New Beginnings. In fact, Lord Ganesha is prayed to first at temples to help ensure that a worshipers subsequent prayers to other deities are successful.

It is important to note that Ganesha is not an Elephant god. Indeed, he was more in a human shape but had his head severed by is father, Lord Shiva, in a case of mistaken identity. His mother, Sri Parvati, begged that Shiva replaced Ganeha's head, which Lord Shiva did, only this time with an elephant's head.
