Now On Sale! Reclining Buddha Statues: Available in four different colors, these statues are of the Buddha Entering Nirvana in Kusinagar in 543 BCE. It depicts the final moments of the Buddha's earthly existence, as after 45 years of untiring teaching of the Dharma, he had told his disciples that he was relenquishing his will to live.
These are rather large Buddha images which are hand-carved of dried wood in Thailand, and we think you will like the subtle detail of this statue. This piece is also surprisingly light for its size, so you will not need an overly sturdy table for this statue. The dried wood helps the statue to resist cracking. We have had them in our store in California for several months before we began selling them to ensure that they would not crack due to the humidity difference, so you can purchase them with confidence.
There are four different color patterns to choose from. Each statue is 21" Long X 8" High X 5" Deep. Carved from aged wood to resist cracking.
