The Three Essentials
Description:
Meditation has a few essential things
in it, whatever the method. And these few
essentials are necessary in every method.
First: a relaxed state: no fight with the mind,
no control of the mind, no concentration.
Second: just watch with a relaxed awareness
whatever is going on, without any interference.
Third: watching the mind, silently, without any
judgments, evaluation.
These are the three things: relaxation,
watching, no judgment. Slowly, slowly,
a great silence descends over you.
When and Where:
Whenever you remember one of the
three essentials, practice it.
Benefits:
The three essentials bring you to a deep
calm, relaxation and inner peace. The more
often you remember them, the quicker you
will find the happiness you seek.
