Weekly Meditation:
Be Open to Experiencing

Description:
Meditation is just a beginning, a seed of a totally
different world where joy, playfulness, compassion,
non-judgment, a nonserious sincerity has entered.
First there needs to be an openness to experience.
Often people are closed - they already have prejudices
about something. For example: dancing as meditation.
The first quality of a meditator is an openness to
experience. Never believe anything unless you have
experienced it.

When and Where:
Try, for example, dancing as meditation. Put any
prejudices aside, any ideas of "how can meditation
come out of dancing", and experiment with this
technique.

Benefits:
The beauty of experience is that the experience is
always open, because further exploration is possible.
Experience is never finished, it remains unfinished.
Your experience is growing, it is changing, it is
moving. It is continuously moving from the known
into the unknown and from the unknown into the
unknowable. Experience has a beauty which can
take you deep into meditation.
Find more information on the Dancing Meditation HERE
And let me know your experiences.

Weekly Meditation:
Don't Ask Why

Description:
"Why" has nothing to do with awareness. It leads
into a totally different dimension: the dimension of
analysis - and analysis is not awareness. Once you ask
"why" you have already moved from the fact. For example:
You feel disturbed, anger is coming. To be aware means
not to do anything, just to see it without any
condemnation and without any evaluation; to see it and
not to ask for a cause. Remain neutral.
Awareness is a simple process with no questions, no
answers. We simply watch

When and Where:
Start with very simple things, like breathing or walking.
Simply stay present and observe the breathing/walking.
When you get bored(which you probably will), face the boredom.
If you can face the boredom, it will disappear and you will
be filled with a tremendous calm.

Benefits:
As you gather confidence in the more simple activities
then move on to more complex things like relationships,
sexuality, anger and so on. Over time you find that whatever
the emotional turmoil, whatever the chattering of the mind,
a part of you remains calm, relaxed, neutral.
Your life flows with grace and ease.

Weekly Meditation:
Music As Meditation

Description:
Originally, music was used for meditation,
particularly Indian music and Indian dancing developed
as forms of meditation.
While listening to music, especially stringed instruments,
hear their composite central sound, which is omnipresent.
Many notes are there. Be alert and listen to the central core,
the backbone of it around which all the notes are flowing.
Penetrate the music and find the backbone of it. Notes come
and go and disappear, but the central core flows on.
Become aware of it.

When and Where:
Anytime you have an opportunity to listen to music,
use is as an opportunity to allow the music to help you
drop deeper down inside. Music can be a doorway to
meditation. All we have to do is allow it to take us deeper.

Benefits:
Music and dancing are two of the easiest ways
to discover meditation. Life is sound and music
can be used as a tool to take us to higher levels of
consciousness. We can use it to help us wake up to
the infinite beauty of all that is.
My favorite music for meditation is from
my dear friends DevaPremal and Miten

Weekly Meditation:
Let It Be

Description:
Whenever you are depressed,anxious, worried,
wait for the moment that the depression goes.
And when it leaves you, wait.
Be aware and alert because after the depression,
after the night, there will be a dawn and the sun will
rise.
The problem arises because we judge ourselves for
being depressed. Then a second depression follows. The
first depression is natural and will pass in it's own time.
The second depression is unnatural because we are in
a fight with ourselves.

When and Where:
Whenever you feel depressed allow it to be there. Be
happy that you are depressed. For a single moment
heaven opens for you. If you are not depressed about
your depression you can enter this heavenly gate.

Benefits:
Once you know this, you have learned one of the ultimate
laws of life: life uses the opposite as a teacher, as a
background. The oppposite of depression is celebration.
Learn to celebrate everything and trust that everything
that happens is for the good.
