Healing Pain
Description:
The first step in healing pain is to not avoid it.
Accept it! Don't fight it and don't
cling to it either because fighting and clinging
make the pain worse. Allow it to be there, without
rationalizing or judging....simply let it be so with
tremendous compassion for yourself.
Become
aware of the pain, say to yourself "I am aware
of the pain" and slowly you start to disidentify
from it. You create a distance, a separation and
your awareness helps you transcend it. You
reach a place in your self-awareness where you
understand you are the host of pain, of happiness,
of joy, of disappointment and so on. These are your
internal weathers, they come and go.
When and Where:
Practice this anytime, anywhere, whenever
you feel pain.
Benefits:
There are reasons for pain and ways to use it for our
benefit. This technique will help you with your
healing, and will take you deeper into self-
awareness, self-love and self-acceptance.
