Hey there, Friends:
Our freind in Mill Valley, Pragito Dove, always sends us a weekly meditation, and we love to pass them along with our visitors. Here is the latest from pragito:
---------------------------------- Weekly Meditation:
Meditation at Work 1
When people around you don't seem to get what you are saying.
There are feeling words and there are intellectual words. Drop intellectual words more and more; use more and more feeling words. There are words that immediately create conflict; the moment you utter them conflict arises. So never use logical, argumentative language. Use the language of affection, of caring, of love so no argument arises. And send these words from your heart.
The outcome will be more productive.
Speak only the essential. The world would be a more silent and peaceful place if people were only saying five percent of what they are saying now; be succinct.
When you are ready to criticize, first decide what you are going to give as a positive alternative. If you don't have a positive alternative, wait. Criticism is good as part of
a positive program. Then your criticism will be valuable, appreciated, even by those whom you are criticizing. Nobody will feel offended by it because while you are criticizing, you are continuously keeping some positive alternative in mind.
