 Just wanted to pass along a message from our friends at the Ali Akbar College of Music (AACM) in San Rafael that their eight-week-long classes begin on February 21st. They will be offering courses in all of their different disciplines (vocal, instrumental, and tabla). The college teaches students to play the classical music of north India, and while everyone is encouraged to take vocal classes, they are also requested to emphasize either melody or percussion. Aside from the highly esteemed faculty at the college, they also have special visiting instructors from India who come to teach from time to time.
