Hi everyone,

I am thrilled to announce that the venerated Thai monk Ajahn Jumnian will be returning to teach in the USA in June of this year. If you haven't had a chance to attend one of Ajahn Jumnian's Dharma and Meditation classes, then you have really missed out on something special.

While I don't know for sure how many cities he will be teaching in the USA, I do know for sure that he will be teaching here in Northern California in early June. Here is a brief breakdown of his schedule.

Empty! Empty! Happy! Happy! Saturday, June 3, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Spirit Rock Meditation Center - Wooacre (Marin County)

Teachings from the Thai Forest tradition. Instructions, guided meditations, sitting and walking with a master in the Thai Forest tradition. Translation by Jack Kornfield who is a longtime student of Ajahn Jumnian.

Family Day - Buddha's Birthday Celebration

Sun, Jun 4, 10:30 am - 3:00 pm Spirit Rock Meditation Center - Wooacre (Marin County)

Beloved Thai forest monk Ajahn Jumnian joins the Family Program once again to celebrate Vesak, marking the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha. A favorite event for families, this day will include a Vesak play and family celebration, dharma talks for all ages, and a chance for each family to be blessed by Ajahn Jumnian. Afternoon activity choices include a tea ceremony, storytelling, hikes, dharma games, and a "tween" program for the young people. Please bring a lunch and food to share with the monks and other families.

Meditation Retreat in the Thai Forest Tradition (8 nights) Sat, Jun 10, 3:00 pm - Sun, Jun 18, 12:00 pm (8 nights) Spirit Rock Meditation Center - Wooacre (Marin County)

This is a meditation retreat in the Thai Forest tradition. There will be long periods of instruction and guided meditation, alternating with shorter periods of silent sitting and walking meditation. This is a rare opportunity to receive extensive teachings from a master in the Thai Forest tradition in a residential retreat setting. Prerequisite: Anyone coming to this retreat should have an established meditation practice.
