Made in Nepal are these wide band Om Bracelets, constructed from a neutral resin. The bands on these bracelets measure almost 2 inches wide and are mounted on elastic bands, so they stretch to fit most wrists.
The om symbol is an ancient sign from Hinduism which is symbolic for the beginnng of the universe. The Om Syllable is uttered at the beginning and ending of every Hindu prayer as well.
The bone resin comes from the collected bodies of annimals that have died naturally or been killed for food. Instead of letting the bones go to waste, they instead grind it up to make a kind of resin, which is then used for making jewelry, statues, and other decorative items.
