PLEASE NOTE: These Om Shirts are cut in a Woman's Style, so they have an hourglss shape to them. While men CAN wear them, they are more flattering on women.

Om T Shirts, or Aum shirts: New cotton Om shirts from Nepal (Scroll down to see all the available colors of our Om Shirts). These wonderful shirts feature the symbol Om (also spelled aum) screened onto them. This sacred symbol is the first syllable in every Hindu prayer, and is believed to be the sacred sound at the start of time. Before there was a universe, all was void, except for the sound of Om, and the universe is believed to have unfolded from the cosmic vibrations of this sound.

While often written in English as "Om" it is more acurately written as "Aum." The reason is that the three letters that make up the word "Aum" represent the three phases of the universe - namely the creation, sustaining, and destruction of the cosmos.

These shirts are currently only available in a Medium size with long sleeves, which is equivilant to a woman's size 4 - 6 shirt, or about somewhere between a man's small to medium. If you are familiar with our Hindu devotional shirts, they are just about the same size as those medium long sleeve shirts. They are 100% cotton and are made in Nepal. They should be machine washed in cold water with like colors, and preferably line dried.
