This Dancing Ganesha statue is 6 Inches Tall by 3 Inches Wide by 3 Inches deep. Lord Ganesha is the elephant headed God of Wisdom and Success. He is believed to oversee auspicious beginnings and can remove obstacles. This large Ganesha statue shows one of the most popular deities in Hinduism and is made of bronze and is cast in Thailand. Ganesha is one of the sons of Siva, and his elephant head is a symbol of his immense wisdom. In his left hand he holds a noose, a symbol of man's attachment to material desire. He holds a Conch Shell in his right hand, which symbolizes the turning of the univers and all that is sacred. As you can see in the photo, Sri Ganesh has a broken-off tusk, which he used to inscribe the Mahabarata, one of the major Hindu religious works.
