Brass Reclining Buddha Statues Made in India : This statue is of the Buddha Entering Nirvana in Kusinagar in 543 BCE. It depicts the final moments of the Buddha's earthly existence, as after 45 years of untiring teaching of the Dharma, he had told his disciples that he was giving up his will to live. This posture is often called the Reclining Buddha or Resting Buddha posture. On the base of this statue are the main auspicious symbols of Buddhism, including a Lotus Blossom, Conch Shell, Endless Knot, Pair of Fish, Banner, and Parasol.
